J. O. Mamah, king of the Umuozzi Community of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, presented President Kim Il Sung with the Chair of the Chieftain in April Juche 84 (1995).
A ceremony took place on April 15, Juche 84 (1995) in Enugu State of Nigeria to award the title of the Chieftain of Umuozzi to Kim Il Sung for the first time in the country.
At the event that started with a 21-gun salute, the head of the Umuozzi Community said it was the greatest honour for them to confer on the great President Kim Il Sung the title of the Chieftain of Umuozzi, adding though it would be impossible to let the President sit on this throne, he presents the gift in reflection of his conviction that the President would sit on the throne and illuminate the road ahead of them forever.
Inscribed on the throne made of rare timber are the letters in praise of Kim Il Sung and embossed on its backboard and frame are a spear, sword and lion.
