The 2024 Spring National Sports Festival closed.
Men and women players of the Amnokgang Sports Club, the Pyongyang Sports Club, the Chongchongang Sports Club, the Amnokgang Defence Sports Club and the Samilpho Defence Sports Club set ten new national records in weightlifting, shooting and track-and-field events.
The April 25 Sports Team took the first place in men’s football and men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball events, and the Pyongyang Municipal Taekwon-Do Team and the Ryongaksan Taekwon-Do Team in men’s and women’s team sparring events respectively.
Its closing ceremony took place at Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street in the capital city of Pyongyang on April 18.
Present there were Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Kim Myong Gun, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials in the sports sector, sportspersons and Pyongyang citizens.
New record medals were awarded to those players who set new national records in the festival, and trophies and medals to the successful teams and players.
Kim Il Guk made a closing address.
