This is an opinion shared by the officials of the Sunchon Thermal Power Station, one of the country’s leading power producers.
Over the years the station has focused on upgrading its technical and economic indices.
It gave precedence to the improvement of technical and economic indices such as combustion and heat efficiency and the increase of boilers’ working days per ignition in particular. And it aroused creativity and enthusiasm among the producers to achieve an ambitious goal to generate more electricity with lower cost.
It is taking prior measures to prevent possible mishaps and accidents in the operation of the facilities, and strictly reviewing the daily production results with an emphasis put on the statistics showing how many indices have been upgraded.
As a result, employees have become more versed in the operation of equipment in each process, which has led to the stable run of the overall processes and a considerable cut in the cost. The soaring working days of boilers per ignition help consume coal less than ever.
Besides, the replacement of turbine blades and air preheaters of the boiler system and other rearrangements make it possible to save thousands of tons of coal every month.
“We will make further efforts to renovate our business management with an eye to maximum profits by relying on our own technical force,” said manager Sok Tu Hung.
