A meeting was held at the Kusong Machine Tool Factory on May 2 to convey a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the workers and officials of the factory on the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary.
Present at the meeting were Jon Hyon Chol, Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Thae Song, Secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, and officials and employees of the Kusong Machine Tool Factory.
Jon Hyon Chol conveyed the congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the WPK to the workers and officials of the factory.
The congratulatory message said 70 years has passed since the great leader Kim Il Sung came out to the spot and chose the site of the factory, and continued: The history of the Kusong Machine Tool Factory is the epitome of the history of leadership of the WPK which has always attached importance to the machine-building industry in the growth and development of the national economy with self-reliance as its lifeline and aspired after constant technical progress.
The great leader Kim Jong Il visited the factory several times in the first years of the new century, made clear the seed in computerizing the machine tools and wisely led it to be solved in Korean style. The history of his leadership was a powerful motive force that enabled the workers of the factory to keep developing and producing modern machine tools of new type wonderfully by increasing the technical force in the spirit of of self-reliance.
The congratulatory message highly appreciated the merits of the entire workers and officials of the Kusong Machine Tool Factory who havemade a dynamic technical progress while glorifying the honourable tradition of loyalty and patriotism century after century and generation after generation and thus rendered great services to the overall development of the machine-building industry and the national economy of the country.
