Most Powerful and Only Weapon

On Feb. 25 Juche 103(2014), the 8th Conference of Ideological Workers of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held under the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

At the conference, he referred to the issues arising in understanding and confirming once again the importance of ideological work and launching a vigorous ideological offensive as demanded by the developing revolution.

That day the respected General Secretary stressed that the most powerful weapon for a party that wages a revolution shouldering people’s destiny is ideology, and it is its one and only weapon, adding that without ideology, a party cannot be founded nor can it exist, and its work and revolutionary struggle are inconceivable separated from ideological work.

Then he continued that the bloodline of the revolution is defended and the revolution advances on the strength of ideology.

Looking back upon the history of our revolution, it is the course of advancing towards the victory by dint of ideology, the most powerful weapon.

His instructions reflect his firm will to hasten the victory of revolution by dint of ideology.

That day, the participants in the conference confirmed their belief that our revolution will be ever-victorious through the fierce flame of ideological campaign which is kindled by the respected General Secretary.

Work Which Must Be Held Fast to Constantly

One October day Juche 103(2014), the respected General Secretary gave precious instructions on the issues arising in the ideological education.

Saying that the ideological education is an important affair which must be constantly held fast to not only in today’s acute confrontation with the enemies but also in the whole course of building the socialist power, he stressed that we should continue the ideological education among the people even in the future when everything prospers and the people’s life is enriched.

When one is not educated and trained in a revolutionary way all the time, he would be ideologically degenerated and finally be disqualified from existing in the revolutionary ranks.

Accordingly, the respected General Secretary stresses the need to enhance the effectiveness of the ideological education for all occasions.

Today’s vigorous campaign for hastening the new victory of revolution teaches our officials that the ideological work is the most important affair which must be held fast to constantly.

Even a Rolling Stone May Gather Moss

Nothing remains immutable--and the same goes for a man’s ideology.

When one neglects his ideological training, he would become ideologically degenerate.

Once the respected General Secretary said that "exceptions" must never be permitted in the ideological work and as a saying goes that even a rolling stone may gather moss, one is bound to degenerate when treated exceptionally.

His instructions were the precious guidelines teaching the importance of the ideological work.

As the steel is tempered in the flames, a man can be a genuine revolutionary only when he steels himself consistently through the revolutionary practice.

When all the people are firmly equipped with the Party’s idea and policy and train themselves through the struggle and practice, they can discharge their duty and mission in the era of a new advance, an era of dynamic struggle.
