In the new era of rural development, modern houses for hundreds of families have appeared in the seat village of the Juksang Farm in Pukchong County, South Hamgyong Province of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The houses are associated with the loving care of the motherly Workers’ Party of Korea which has striven to provide agricultural workers with a better civilized life.
Builders and working people built low- and single-storied and terraced houses and communal domestic animal sheds and planted apple, apricot, persimmon and other trees around the houses to add beauty to the village.
A house-moving ceremony took place on the spot on May 19.
Present there were Choe Hung Jo, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials and builders in Pukchong County and working people to be provided with the houses.
Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People’s Committee, made a congratulatory address.
Then house licenses were given, to be followed by oath-taking speeches.
Amid the cheerful dancing, officials visited the new houses to present their owners with daily necessities and congratulate them.
