“Kangdong vegetable” is now a popular byword among citizens in Pyongyang.
Fresh vegetables have been supplied to the citizens since the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex was built as a leading vegetable producer in February.
Greengrocers have opened in different parts of the city to regularly supply the produce from Kangdong to them.
When they meet and talk to each other, citizens often ask about whether they have ever tasted the vegetables from Kangdong, thus coining the byword “Kangdong vegetable”.
A resident in Phyongchon District, Pyongyang, said that some earlier she was supplied with chicken and eggs produced by the Kwangchon Chicken Farm, and this time she has bought vegetables produced by the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex at low prices. Our life is getting enriched day by day thanks to the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who works heart and soul to provide the people with more and better things, she added.
