The spokesperson for Chinese Foreign Ministry recently expressed the position of rejecting the “International Religious Freedom Report 2023” released by the U.S. State Department where it took issue with China.
The spokesperson said that China rejects outright the so-called “report” of the U.S. as it turns a blind eye to the basic facts, being crammed full of lies and false news and maliciously slanders China’s religious policy with ideological prejudice. He continued as follows:
The U.S. ignores objective facts and continues to make sophistry with lies. The real purpose of it is to make an excuse to contain China.
Rampant in the U.S. are the politicization of religion, scandal of churches, heresy, etc., and freedom of religion is seriously infringed upon as religious discrimination and persecution prevail.
The U.S. has no qualifications to be a “religious mentor” and to talk about religious situation of other countries.
In conclusion, the spokesperson strongly urged the U.S. to respect the facts, correct the blunders and to immediately stop interfering in the internal affairs of China over so-called religious issue.
