The construction of modern houses in the area of Komdok continues to go full steam ahead, turning the location into a mountain-gorge town.
Over the last four years since flood hit the area in October Juche 109 (2020), fresh changes have taken place to facelift the area along with the construction of over 20 000 modern dwelling houses.
This year, too, the framework of dwelling houses was completed one after another along the gorges of the area.
The builders have carried out the framework for scores of blocks and set about plastering for their interior and exterior walls in the different areas of the Namphung Pit and Ryongchon Mine of the Komdok Mining Complex. Framework project is also nearing the final stage in the areas of Roun, Chongnyon and Muhak pits.
The General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry in charge of the construction mapped out a plan to complete the project a month ahead of schedule in consideration of the local features that cold weather comes early and launched the project in every quarter at the same time.
The builders from the Komdok Mining Complex completed the framework for nearly 300 families in the area of Namphung pit while making every working process go ahead of schedule so as to guarantee speed and quality.
The builders from the Tanchon Smeltery working at the highest location concluded the framework before the set time by widely introducing new building methods.
All production units under the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry are pushing forward the building tasks such as framework, retaining wall erection and road pavement.
