Receptions were given at the Mokran Restaurant, the People's Palace of Culture, the Okryu Restaurant and the Chongryu Restaurant in Pyongyang on the 26th in celebration of the 71st anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Invited to the receptions were the war veterans and wartime meritorious persons participating in the celebrations.
Present there were Kim Tok Hun and Choe Ryong Hae, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other senior officials of the Party and the government and leading officials of the armed forces organs.
Congratulatory speeches were made at the receptions.
The speakers warmly congratulated the war veterans on the glorious V-Day of our state, the auspicious day of all people.
They said the new generations will surely attain the goal of building a powerful country, winning only victory all the time in the gigantic struggle of creation for defending the sovereign rights and achieving the national rejuvenation in the indomitable revolutionary spirit and dauntless stamina and with the mission of defenders handed down by the fighters of the war. They hoped that the war veterans would lead a proud and happy life amid respect and warm care of the whole country along with the vigorous advance of the motherland.
