DPRK Players Prove Successful at First Int'l Summer Sports Contest of University Students

The First International Summer Sports Contest of University Students, "Youth on the Maritime Territory", was held in Vladivostok of Russia from July 21 to 26.
The contest brought together more than 1 000 players from the DPRK, Russia, Belarus and other countries.
DPRK players Kim Song Il and Choe Hyon Ha took the first place in the men's and women's table tennis singles, Kim Song Il and Kim Kil Song in the men's doubles, Choe Hyon Ha and Kim Hyon Gyong in the women's doubles and Kim Song Il and Choe Hyon Ha in the mixed doubles on July 25.
Pak Mi Song won the first gold medal in the women's 100-metre free style on July 24.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyon Gyong placed second in the women's table tennis singles and Han Kang Song and Kim Hyon Gyong in the mixed doubles.
DPRK players bagged six gold medals, five silver medals and one bronze medal, 12 medals in total, in the contest.
