A foreign figure visiting our country once asked President Kim Il Sung if the President felt comfortable with having a huge university near the presidential building.

He asked such a question because he spent his whole career exercising caution against young people as young people were the biggest headache and the youth issue appeared more and more to be a Gordian knot, truly impossible to untie.

President Kim Il Sung told the foreign figure that he rather felt more comfortable with the university students near him, praising them as reliable successors to the revolution who support the Party with scientific research in times of peace and with arms in times of war.

He then emphasized that he had an implicit trust in the students.

The foreign figure repeated the President’s words over and over again in admiration and envy.

Love and trust are the greatest things a human being could give to another human being.

So, having the great love and trust of one’s leader means the greatest happiness and honour beyond comparison.

There are many countries in the world and they all have young people.

But none of them lead a life like ours who are shaping the bright future of the motherland as standard-bearers of the era enjoying the trust and love of their leader through generations.

Many young people on this land become heroes of virtues and leave their beloved city and home to go to factories, farms and new development areas.

There they open up a new heyday of national prosperity with their burning passion and spirit of young hearts.

The inaugural ceremony of Jonwi Street held in May this year also provides a clear proof of that.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un entrusted the task of this construction project exclusively to our young people. It was an important undertaking playing an important part in the overall nationwide construction.

This also reflects his profound intention and will to bring up our young people as masters of the new era and genuine successors of revolution.

Thanks to his trust and encouragement, our young people could build such a praiseworthy edifice in a short span of one year, worthy of the great honour of Korean youth.

At the beginning of this month (August), when respected Comrade Kim Jong Un called for rehabilitation of the flood-affected area in the basin of the Amnok River, as many as 300,000 young people responded the ardent and patriotic call of the great leader with enthusiastic volunteering in less than a week’s time.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , despite his busy schedule with national affairs, personally participated in the ceremony to see off the young people leaving for the rehabilitation area.

He ardently called upon them to demonstrate the dignity, mettle and courage of the honorable Korean youth and advance towards victory, saying that he wants to boast of the country to the entire world, for we have such praiseworthy young minds.

Our young people, grown up beyond recognition with the meticulous care, guidance and trust of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , will soon establish wonderful dwellings for the people in the northwestern part of the country.
