New houses have been built at the Jikjol Vegetable Farm and the Taljon Farm in the city of Tanchon, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.
The low- and single-storey and terraced houses, which preserve the regional features and are designed in a modern, cultural and convenient way, are the result of the great loving care of the motherly Workers’ Party of Korea which is devoting itself to providing the agricultural workers with a new life peculiar to the cultural efflorescence of socialism.
Present at the ceremonies for moving into new houses were Wi Chol Su, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, and officials, builders and agricultural workers in the city. Ri Kwang Hyok, vice-chairman of the provincial people's committee, made a congratulatory address.
Then house licences were handed over and speeches made.
Amid the cheerful dance party held by working people, residents and children with national flags and bouquets in their hands, officials visited the new houses to congratulate their owners and share joy with them.
