The Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), with a long history of 79 years, has created a great history for great people with them. The WPK has gone through all sorts of hardship regarding the people-first principle as its immutable political idea and philosophy, keeping it in its sacred flag of our Party. Our people are greeting the birthday of the great motherly party in great joy and excitement.

President Kim Il Sung , for the first time in history, clarified the original party-building ideology based on the revolutionary principle of the Juche idea that people are the masters of revolution and construction, and they have the driving force. He also strengthened and developed our Party into a strong popular party with its root deeply struck into the broad sections of working people and a political body united in one ideology, and the revolutionary headquarters leading the popular masses with its effective and seasoned leadership.

Chairman Kim Jong Il put forward a new idea of single-heated unity based on one ideology and one center. He formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and proclaimed it as the supreme program of our Party. He then made sure that the ardent love and devoted service for the people run through the party-building and all its activities.

The WPK has oriented all its revolutionary leadership to firmly defending the people’s rights and interests. It has set it as its duty to constantly expand and deepen the people’s well-being and led the socialist cause along the ever-victorious road. This immortal leadership history of the WPK is inconceivable apart from energetic leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il , who strengthened and developed our Party into a genuine party for people and a great motherly party.

The interests of the people are provided as a starting point for all thoughts and practice of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un . Under his wise leadership, the ties of kinship between our Party and the people are now becoming closer and being elevated to a higher level.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un set it as the strategic line of party building to model the entire Party on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. He thoroughly applied the people-first principle to the overall work of the Party to strengthen and develop our Party into a genuine motherly one filled with love for the people.

The great Party, cherished deep in the hearts of the people as great mother, has been faithful to the noble idea and principle, and duty as mother, making new programs and radical achievements for the overall national prosperity. Such precious results were brought by the ardent love for the people and the wise leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

The WPK always finds itself among the people and shares sorrow and happiness with the people and dedicates to the people.
