At the Mubon Farm in Jungsan County, there are two work-team heads famous for their enterprising work style.
They are Pak Ok Ran, head of Work-team No. 1, and Ri Tok Su, head of Work-team No. 5.
They are an affectionate couple at home and ambitious rivals at the farm.
Actually, Pak was afraid of working as the head of the work-team when she began it.
She worried that she might fail to do fine jobs like her husband, a solid farmer who had already worked as a work-team head for more than ten years.
However, she buckled down to work with confidence, encouraged and assisted by the husband who told her what counts is the awareness of being the master responsible for the country’s granary.
She rose earlier than anyone else and worked devotedly from early at dawn to take good care of fields and improve the fertility of soil.
She also raised the enthusiasm of the work-team members for studying and set personal examples, remembering that the key to high yield is to do farming in a scientific way.
In this course, the work-team under her charge made remarkable progress and came to parallel Work-team No. 5.
The competitiveness and zeal for emulation of the two heads of the work-teams grew higher.
Their competitiveness was not merely for the honor of their own work-teams.
They gave unselfish assistance and help to one another and, thanks to such sincere efforts, the two work-teams have carried out their grain production plans every year.
As a result, they became leading work-teams of the county and Pak and Ri became couple innovators.
Today, they exert themselves in the van of the farm with anxiety to become patriotic farmers upholding the Party with high yield.
