At the end of last year the Ryonggang Stone Processing Factory was inaugurated in Ryonggang County of Nampho, a famous granite deposit in the DPRK.
Built near the picturesque Ryongho Reservoir, the factory has a large mining area with an annual production capacity of hundreds of thousands of cubic metres of granite, a processing workshop equipped with modern machines, and others.
The workshop with a total building space of more than 10 000m 2 has a fine arrangement of 60-odd modern machines in 30 kinds to turn out various quality stone products including slabs, railings, newels and boundary stones.
The factory ensures the high quality of stone products by maximizing the operation of machines and improving the technical knowledge and skills of the producers.
All the employees of the factory take an active part in the effort to develop and introduce new technologies, which proves effective in lowering the norm of raw material consumption per unit of product and increasing the productive efficiency.
Thanks to it, the factory, since its inauguration, has overfulfilled the production plans and turned out a large amount of quality stone products.
Its stone products in various forms and sizes enjoy growing demands throughout the country including the construction projects of 50 000 flats in the capital city.
