Months ago the Rason Hyesong Combined Development Company was enveloped in a festive mood as its employees were congratulating an inventor named Ri Chol Ung on receiving a technician’s certificate.
Overwhelmed by emotions, Ri looked back upon his past.
Before he was one year old, he contracted an incurable disease. According to the diagnosis, he would not be able to walk. But he grew up happily.
Like his peers he attended primary and middle schools while receiving new uniforms and school things from the state.
During his middle school days he fostered his aptitude for computer science at the school’s group. After graduation he started his career at the Rason Hyesong Combined Development Company.
The officials and employees of the company sincerely helped him in his work and life.
With a resolve to repay the benevolence of the country, he assiduously studied for over 20 years, in the course of which he grew up as a computer expert and played his part in putting the company on IT basis.
The programs he developed were highly appreciated at sci-tech festivals and presentations.
“I owe my successes to the benevolent Republic which guarantees the health and life of persons with disabilities legally and institutionally,” said Ri upon receiving the certificate.
