An event took place at the Central Youth Hall on December 3 to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Present at the event were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for Protection of the Disabled, officials of relevant units, persons with disabilities and their families, working people in Pyongyang, diplomatic envoys and staff members of foreign embassies in the DPRK and overseas Koreans staying in the homeland.
Speeches were made by persons with disabilities enjoying a happy life thanks to the policy of the party and the state on protecting the disabled and a video clip dealing with the successes made in the protection of the disabled in the DPRK this year was screened.
An art performance was given by the Korean Art Association of the Disabled.
The performers well displayed the cheerful and lively lives of the persons with disabilities who are fully realizing their desire and talents under the loving care of the Party.
