There are so many great stories about great men around the world but nothing like the one about Chairman Kim Jong Il who carried on with his field guidance to do more for the good of the people till the very last moment of his life despite his health condition.
The good of the people had always been at the top of his mind. His thinking and his activity, and his life story, every page of it, are literally a history of love for people. Written in the annals of his great revolutionary career is also a story about his visit to the Kwangbok Area Supermarket during the last days of his life.
On December 15, 2011, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Kwnagbok Area Supermarket. He looked around different places of the supermarket selling condiment, cosmetics and other household goods, and children’s playground on the 3rd floor and dining hall. He then gave valuable instructions for the supermarket so that it would fulfil its important mission and role for the well-being of our people.
Paying little heed to his health, he dedicated long hours in the supermarket and said with warmth that he was rejoiced at the completion of another project for the good of the people, and that he felt warm despite the cold weather.
The life of Chairman Kim Jong Il is indeed a life of love for the people and his revolutionary career is the epitome of a genuine people’s leader.
It is for this reason that not only the Korean people but also those across the world expressed deep condolences when the sad news about his demise on December 17, 2011 was broadcasted, and the memory of him only grows stronger even after 10-odd years.
Chairman Kim Jong Il is revered by the entire world as the peerless great man and will live on in the hearts of our people and the mankind for his feats of having transformed the country and nation into a great nation with his boundless love for the people.
