The project for remodelling the calcination-sulfuric acid process was completed at the Munphyong Smeltery.
As a result, a firm foundation was laid for making a big stride forward in the economic development of the country and improvement of the people's living with domestic resources and technology.
The inaugural ceremony of the remodelled process of the Munphyong Smeltery was held on the spot.
It was attended by Vice-Premier Yang Sung Ho, Minister of Mining Industry Ri Sang Do, Chief Secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Paek Song Guk, officials concerned, officials and researchers of the units that contributed to the project and employees of the smeltery.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the remodelled process.
