The Thongchon Fishery Station in Kangwon Province was remodelled and inaugurated.
Its face-lifted production buildings equipped with the fish-processing facilities, cold storage, office building, house of culture and sanatorium will make an active contribution to the fishery development of the country and improvement of the people's living.
Its inaugural ceremony was held on the 18th with the attendance of Jon Hyon Chol, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the Kangwon Provincial Fishery Management Bureau, working people and employees of the station.
Minister of Fisheries Song Chun Sop made an inaugural address.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the fishery station.
