In his policy speech at the 10th Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly in January last year, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that it is the nature and duty of our Party and the government to keep the promise made with the people without fail, however harsh trials they may face.

This epitomizes his noble ideal, ambition, unshakable faith and will to build a socialist paradise on this land where the people will enjoy happiness generation after generation by getting their long-held wishes realized without fail, irrespective of the advantages and disadvantages of the situation.

In October 2015, he visited the Sci-Tech Complex built wonderfully on the Taedong River in the capital city of Pyongyang.

He was greatly satisfied not merely with the magnificent and unique appearance of the complex and the establishment of a huge database.

He was more pleased to see the complex built in such a short time.

An official told him that some people had been doubtful about the completion of the project by October 10.

Then Kim Jong Un said that our Party had never failed to keep the promises made with the people, and that the promises should be kept without fail.

To keep those promises he devoted his all to the building of such monumental edifices as the workers’ hostel at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, Wisong Scientists Residential District, apartment houses for educators at Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Baby Home, Pyongyang Orphanage, Munsu Water Park, Rungna People’s Pleasure Ground, Ryomyong Street, Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp, Pyongyang Dental Hygiene Supplies Factory, Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm, and Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm.

The gigantic structures built across the country for the past 10-odd years are all precious assets brought about by Kim Jong Un in his effort to keep his promises with the people despite the escalating moves of the hostile forces against the DPRK.

He worked hard early in the morning or late at night to keep the promises he made to bring all blessings to the people and posterity.

He went over many artist’s impressions so that the construction of the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort could be completed on the highest possible level as he promised the people, and made a wonderful greenhouse farm built to keep his promise with the locals of South Hamgyong Province despite terrible natural disasters.

And to attain the goal of the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang at any cost, the most important promise he ever made, Kim Jong Un attended the ground-breaking ceremonies without exception, made meaningful speeches and pressed the detonator buttons to break the ground.

Once he earnestly said: It is our Party’s and his own foremost duty and steadfast resolve to firmly defend the people, hold them in higher regard, and make them lead a happy life with nothing to envy.

As he has such an ardent aspiration and sheer determination, he set it as an intrinsic nature and duty of the Party and government to honour promises before the people unconditionally, no matter how hard trials they may face.

Thanks to his wise leadership, new construction legends are being created in Pyongyang and other parts of the country.

The Korean people keenly feel how the Workers’ Party of Korea keeps its promise, witnessing the ever-changing appearance of the country and their thriving life.
