Ukrainian army recently mounted another round of drone attack on the Russian city of Energodar, home of staff and their family of Zaporochye Nuclear Power Plant.
In this regard, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry published a comment and called for a prompt and serious response from the international community to the incessant attacks by Kiev authorities on nuclear power infrastructure of Russia and also for public pressure to prevent Kiev from exposing the lives of people on the continent of Europe and elsewhere to the danger of possible accident in Zaporochye Nuclear Power Plant.
The spokesperson noted that Russia expects Ukraine’s western supporters to advise Zelensky against recklessness for the sake of their own safety and the IAEA to take an objective view of, and take explicit position on the case. It is high time that Russia issue a serious note of warning to Ukraine about the Russian policy of zero tolerance against attacks on Russian nuclear power plants, the spokesperson emphasized.
