As the efforts to solve the problem of raw materials needed for the normal operation of regional-industry factories to be newly built are making brisk headway in different parts of the country, Unchon County in South Hwanghae Province has solved the sugar problem by its own effort.
Officials of the county have so far made painstaking efforts to solve the problem.
They held consultative meetings several times and went to factories and farms in the county to share views with the producer masses.
In the course of this, they found good plans to solve the sugar problem such as selection of high-yielding sugar plants, confirming of idle land-based cultivation area, use of nutritive enhancers, introduction of advanced methods and techniques in manuring and cultivation, and establishment of a reasonable production line.
They strengthened the technical force of the county and solved the technical problems arising in cultivating the sugar plants and establishing the production line, thus providing a scientific guarantee for increasing their output and industrializing production.
Meanwhile, they selected excellent technicians and skilled workers from the industrial establishments and made steady efforts to improve their technical qualifications.
Now the county has established its own sugar production line at a foodstuff factory, and turned out such products as bread, doughnut and jelly.
