The embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Viet Nam gave a reception on the 6th on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
Invited to the reception were the Vietnamese Vice-Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and personages of the government, political parties, organizations and institutions including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Viet Nam-DPRK Friendship Association and the Newspaper"Nhan Dan".
Present there were Ri Sung Guk, DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Viet Nam, and staff members of his embassy.
Ambassador Ri Sung Guk made a speech.
He said the two countries have consolidated friendship and ties supporting and cooperating with each other with the socialist idea as commonness since the establishment of their diplomatic relations and added that the Hanoi summit meeting held in March 2019 served as a historic occasion which promoted the DPRK-Viet Nam friendship onto a new height.
He hoped that the Vietnamese people would implement the decisions of the 13th Party Congress under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and thus make a success in their work for attaining the goal of building a rich, powerful, democratic, fair and civilized state.
Next, Vice-Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son made a speech.
He conveyed the best congratulations of To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, to Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the WPK, and the government and people of the DPRK.
He said the Vietnamese party, government and people regard it as priority of their external policy to develop the traditional relations of friendship with the DPRK and stressed the need to further strengthen the cooperative relations between the two countries this year, the year of friendship.
That day, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Union of Friendship Organizations sent floral baskets to the DPRK embassy.
