The first-term winter camping began at the Jangjasan Children’s Camp in the DPRK, with the significant February holiday as an occasion.
There took place a meeting for starting the camping on February 16.
Present there were Sin Chang Gil, chairman of the Jagang Provincial People’s Committee, Jon Yong Jae, secretary of the provincial committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Song Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials concerned and officials and teaching staff of the camp and campers.
When the sound of a bugle heralding the start of camping was resounded, the campers responded to the slogan “Let us be always ready for the socialist country!”
The reporter and speakers at the meeting said that the children's camp, built at the foot of Mt Jangja associated with the revolutionary activities of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il , reflects the great love and benevolence of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who spares nothing for the rising generation.
They called upon all the schoolchildren to further consolidate, during their camping, the knowledge they learned at schools and prepare themselves to be reliable pillars of prosperous Korea possessed of unshakable will and strong body.
At the end of the meeting, the flag of camping was hoisted amid the playing of song “March of the Children’s Union.”
