Over the recent years the Hwasong area in the capital city of Pyongyang has witnessed really meaningful events and scenes.
About a month ago a groundbreaking ceremony of the project to build 10 000 flats for the fourth time was held there.
Consecutive groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of dwelling houses have taken place every year in the area. Deep at night the area is brightly lit reflecting the joy and gratitude of owners of the completed houses. It is ablaze also with the ongoing construction campaign.
Kim Jong Un said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the fourth-stage project to build 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area: This housing construction site in the Hwasong area is vivid proof of the people-first politics and a clear symbol of our cause that is making a more vigorous advance and higher leap forward day by day towards the goal of a powerful country.
To build the Hwasong area into a model administrative district in Pyongyang, where everything needed for the life of the residents is well furnished–this is the principle consistently maintained by the Workers’ Party of Korea in the construction campaign.
While setting the orientation of the struggle for 2025 at the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK late in December last year, Kim Jong Un was reported that some officials at the panel discussions had proposed carrying over some construction projects to next year. But the General Secretary dismissed the idea out of hand.
He declared that it was no use discussing a hundred or a thousand matters concerning the tasks of struggle for next year if the people-oriented policies should be postponed for this reason or that and that full rein should be given to the mental strength of Party members and the flames of increased production be raised across the country. He continued to say that the use of even a gram of cement should be oriented to implementing the policy for the good of the people. His earnest instructions made the officials realize how they should support the people and how they should lead the era of creation and transformation with an unyielding spirit.
Innumerable are monuments of creation and construction and cradles of happiness built under the care of the WPK for the people. But the WPK maintains they are just a beginning when compared with its far-reaching ideals and goals.
Thanks to the WPK, the era of great change will go on, adorning it with more marvellous creations.
