Almost a year has passed since this land gave birth to the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex – the world’s leading vegetable production base which manifests the rapid development of socialist culture. Throughout the year, even as the seasons change, the fresh green vegetables for our people continue to receive the bright warm rays of the sun, the tender love of our dear father respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

Even today, our people still remember March 15, 2024 – the day of the completion and inaugural ceremony of the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex. Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took part in the ceremony and blessed the bright future of the workers who will be leading worthwhile lives working in the magnificent greenhouse complex stretching across the horizon as far as the eye could see.

It was respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who initiated a grand plan to create a large-scale greenhouse cluster in the Kangdong area. He energetically guided the whole construction process of the greenhouse complex so as to build an ideal utilitarian farm with modern and cultured working and living environment to mass produce tasty and nutritious vegetables of various kinds.

However, he didn’t take any credit for all his hard work, trouble and great devotion for the people but made the following speech at the ceremony to thank the service personnel of the KPA who successfully built the greenhouse complex: “…you have built within just a year this advanced and splendid asset…. I cannot find enough words to express my gratitude to you and my happiness. … Availing myself of this opportunity, I, on behalf of our Party and government, once again extend thanks to our laudable and heroic army.” We can still hear the cheers of “hurrah” that resounded through the land and skies that day.

Modern greenhouses of peculiar styles including cylindrical greenhouse for vegetable cultivation and dome-shaped glass hydroponic greenhouse, public buildings, terraced apartments that complement the natural landscape – such a spectacular sight speaks for itself the civilization and happiness of our people as well as the true features of the socialism of our own style. They also make up the proud epitome of the great idea, mental spirit, and inexhaustible might that has created a new era of regional rejuvenation.

Our country is working epochal changes for regional rejuvenation and continues to create precious assets directly linked to the people’s living through continued innovation and leaps forward without the slightest stagnation or regression. It is a paradise for the people with nothing to envy in the world.

Nature has four seasons but the great love for our people cherished by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un goes on forever, just like the warm rays of the sun shining through the greenhouses throughout the year.
