The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un leads the revolution and construction, holding aloft the banner of self-reliance.
At the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held in December 2022, he said we will resolutely break through all the challenges and difficulties only by our own efforts without seeking a stroke of good luck or help of others and accelerate our advance toward a new era according to our plan, decision and timetable.
In retrospect, the brilliant national prestige, the height our country and people reached, was provided by self-reliance.
The monumental edifices in the era of the Workers' Party intensively showing modern civilization are all creations of self-reliance built by the Korean people.
Kim Jong Un visited sites of reconstruction of flood-hit areas in North Phyongan Province on November 4, 2024 and said:
We have come to believe in our strength once again through the on-going hugerehabilitation campaign and I regard it as mental wealth more important thanany other results.
For us, self-reliance is the wealth more precious than a huge amount of funds and resources.
In the long period of revolution, the Korean people have firmly believed that self-reliance is the motive force of their advance and development and the eternal lifeline decisive of the destiny of the revolution.
