“The DPRK is recognized by the world as a country with independent politics and self-respect. It neither blindly follows nor submits to any great power or external forces in the international fora. It is not afraid of expressing its opinions. It conducts its state building and activities independently. The DPRK’s independent politics had been commenced by President Kim Il Sung , its founding father.”

As the Indonesian Newspaper International Media wrote, independent politics is the symbol of Juche Korea.

Independence is the cornerstone of our Republic. It is an independent power which rose to today’s status by pursuing the independent revolutionary line.

At the dawn of our revolution, President Kim Il Sung clarified the profound truth of Juche that man is the master of his own destiny and has the power to shape it. During the whole course of his revolutionary leadership, he consistently adhered to independent revolutionary line in all fields of politics, the economy, military affairs, culture and external relations.

He stood firm in his independent position in any of complicated situations. Thanks to his outstanding leadership, the Korean people achieved great victories over the two most barbaric and formidable imperialist enemies and brought about epoch-making changes in two stages of social revolution and several phases of socialist construction.

Today, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is leading the DPRK, which has demonstrated the dignity and prestige to the world as an independent power for 80-odd years.

The international arena is infested with high-handedness and arbitrariness of imperialists and justice and truth are callously disregarded. Nonetheless, our Republic, independently and proudly, expresses its views, thereby resolutely defending national sovereignty and dignity.

In his article “DPRK in Kim Jong Un Era”, a university professor of a foreign country wrote on the realities of our Republic which is setting a great example of building an independent power:

“Independence is being carried on in Kim Jong Un era, too. The outstanding political competency of General Secretary Kim Jong Un is based on his unique reasoning and action and is deeply rooted in independence. It brought about miraculous reality where the DPRK writes a new history of international relations as befits the new times and context. His invariably independent leadership has enhanced the international standing of the DPRK. The world is now looking at the DPRK from a new point of view. This is how I see Korea – the country in Kim Jong Un era which is strong because of independence.”

The DPRK, as the international community commends, will continue to uphold the banner of independence and push ahead with the building of a socialist power in our own way and by our own efforts under the wise leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
