In the DPRK many people work with patriotic devotion for the prosperity of their country, although they are different in occupation, career and age.
Among the patriots is Cha Kwon Sok, leader of the custom-built equipment assembly workshop of the Taean Heavy Machine Complex.
While working at the position for more than 20 years he has led his workshop to overfulfil its national economic plan every year and trained many skilled workers. Many asked him about the secret of success after visiting his workplace.
His reply was simple—I just endeavoured to live up to the affection and trust of the country and the people and of society and the collective.
His father was a highly skilled veteran worker of the same complex. After finishing the middle school course, Cha Kwon Sok began his career at the complex to follow in the footsteps of his father.
Everything was new to him, but he worked much harder than others to master his job as soon as possible.
In order to improve his technical skills, he learned how to read designs from designers and highly skilled workers of the workshop and strove hard to understand the principles of operation of generating facilities.
After such strenuous efforts he began to read designs independently in one month and acquired high technical skills for custom-built equipment assembly in a few years and rose to the top of the workshop.
He sometimes worked all night with his colleagues assembling custom-built equipment. He made hundreds of designs for machining parts.
Thus he played a big role in assembling equipment to be delivered to the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station and many other power stations across the country. In the course of this, he made dozens of innovative ideas and inventions of national importance, which brought about considerable profits to the country.
The government honoured him with the titles of a meritorious person of socialist patriotism and a merited machine builder in recognition of his faithful patriotic devotion for the country in disregard of public acknowledgement.
