The Ninth April Spring People’s Art Festival, which opened in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 113th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung , closed with due ceremony at the Pyongyang Acrobatic Theatre on April 17.
Present at the ceremony were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, participants in the festival and Pyongyang citizens.
First, the results of the festival jury were announced.
Twenty-four units highly appreciated at the festival were awarded the group prize, 13 pieces of work ensemble prize, 14 persons creation prize and 36 persons prize for best performance.
Prizes were given with certificates and cups.
A letter of loyalty to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted.
Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu, chairman of the festival organizing committee, made a closing address.
He said that in the days of the festival, the DPRK people recalled the noble revolutionary career and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and were more firmly convinced that the sacred revolutionary history of the President would steadily continue on this land and the future of their highly-civilized thriving country would be rosy under the guidance of Kim Jong Un .
Then there was a closing performance given by the units highly appreciated at the festival.
