Central-level hospitals are intensifying the effort to pass medical skills and techniques on to regional medical workers.
Officials of the Ministry of Public Health and central-level hospitals have worked out a detailed phased plan in a realistic manner to help regional hospitals strengthen their medical force, and are carrying it out.
The Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital is giving a technical course to doctors and nurses at Kangdong County Hospital in Pyongyang and Ryonggang County Hospital in Nampho.
The hospital assigns the trainees to the relevant departments according to their majors so that they can gain clinical experience while learning from competent medical workers at the departments.
Meanwhile, the work is going forward to dispatch competent medical workers to regional hospitals to help them.
Those from Kim Man Yu Hospital dispatched to South Hwanghae Provincial General Hospital, Kaesong Municipal General Hospital and Kusong City Hospital in North Phyongan Province are transferring to the regional doctors and nurses diagnostic and curative methods to deal with different cases and emergencies.
Through telemedicine, field lectures and technical consultative meetings, Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and Okryu Children’s Hospital are rendering sincere assistance to the regional obstetricians, gynaecologists and pediatricians to improve their technical and practical skills.
