The Wangjaesan Art Troupe has been giving a music and dance performance at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre since July 10 to instil confidence in sure victory and the spirit of exertion into the Korean people who are out in the drive for increased production in order to glorify this year with miraculous victories and epochal achievements.
The performance started with female chorus "My Powerful Motherland". Put on the stage were female solo and pangchang "Care of My Destiny", national dance "Joy of Rich Harvest", song and dance "Socialism Is Ours" and shadow dance "Song of Happiness, Ring out Far and Wide".
Through colourful artistic depiction, the performers represented the great pride of the Korean people who have greeted the new era of dignified powerful state under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea and the thoughts and feelings that Korean-style socialism, which keeps the fine national tradition in bloom, is the best.
Dance "It Is an Offensive" and modern dance and tap dance "Campfire, Flare Up" reflecting the spirit of the DPRK making a leap forward and the breathing of the times through nimble and dynamic dance movements inspired the audience with enthusiasm to perform heroic feats at every worksite.
When national dance "Janggu Dance" and medley of folk songs "Ballad of Gold Mountains" and "Song of Good Haul in the Sea" were put on the stage, arousing the national sentiment and interest, the audience chimed in with the performers, full of the pride that their national songs and dances are best in the world.
Hearing and watching song and dance "We Are Koreans" and female chorus "Song about the Motherland", the audience made pledges to glorify the motherland forever with the irresistible might of the single-hearted unity around the great Party Central Committee and by the patriotic efforts of devoting themselves to the eternal prosperity and development of the DPRK.
The theatre hall was filled with excitement when the song "Dear Father" resounded, inspiring deep reverence for the peerlessly great man.
The performance was acclaimed by the audience.
The audience presented bouquets to the performers, congratulating them on their successful performance.
