The DPRK encourages golf tour and other types of tourist activities as its tourism develops rapidly.
Everyone wants to stroll along a vast track of green turf extending through beautiful landscape filled with fresh air while enjoying natural scenery away from busy urban environment. Golf is one of the sports activities that can satisfy their desire.
Accordingly, many show growing interest in the exercise and related tourist activities and a large number of businesses around the world engage in golf tour and run golf courses.
The DPRK, a country which is endowed with favourable natural and geographical conditions for golf tour such as beautiful mountains, clear streams and mild climate, has the Pyongyang Golf Course, Sosan Golf Training Course and other golf facilities.
Founded in 2017, the Ryomyong Golf Travel Company offers a variety of tourist services based mainly on the Pyongyang Golf Course located on the shore of picturesque Lake Thaesong in Kangso District, Nampho Municipality. It has peculiar service facilities that blend well with the beautiful natural environment.
The golf course, with a total length of 6 777 yards, provides the customers with opportunities to spend a good time, experiencing breathtaking moments at bunkers and near holes.
The golf course is the host of the spring and autumn national competitions of amateur golfers which take place annually and of the joint training and technical exchange among those successful in the competitions.
Other services are available to stimulate the interest of the tourists: Angling on Lake Thaesong; visit to Three Tombs of Kangso, a major historical site that dates back to the period of Koguryo (277 BC－AD 668), and the famous Kangso Mineral Water Bottling Factory; and taking bath in the Kangso mineral water.
In addition, the tourists can, if they want, tour places of scenic beauty and historical significance and major cities in the country, watch art performances, taste Korean dishes and enjoy other types of tourist activities.
