National symposium held to commemorate 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation

A national symposium was held at the People's Palace of Culture on the 7th to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
It was attended by Choe Tong Myong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ju Chang Il, Department Director of the Party Central Committee, officials of the Party and administrative organs and working people's organizations, and theoretical propaganda officials of the armed forces organs, in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, the press and the revolutionary relics preservation and of the Party cadres training institutions in Pyongyang Municipality.
Speakers stated that the great leader Kim Il Sung was a peerless patriot who prepared our powerful forces of the revolution and brought the first Liberation Day of Korea.
They explained that Korea's liberation was a great political event which brought about a fundamental change in the destiny of the Korean people and opened up a new history of building a powerful country.
They said the lofty soul of the revolutionaries of the first generation who pioneered the eternal history of resistance is a mental heritage to be carried forward for good and all.
They stressed the need to constantly write the heroic history of the great Kim Jong Un's thriving country by inheriting the history and tradition of victory of the Juche revolution.
They emphasized that all the officials and working people should make continued innovations and consecutive leap forward by carrying forward the fighting spirit of the anti-Japanese forerunners and the tradition of patriotism and thus make this significant year a year of new changes full of meaningful successes.
