In May Pak Jin Suk, a woman living in Songmun-dong No. 1, Samsok District, Pyongyang, was rushed to the metabolism research section of Kim Man Yu Hospital.
The patient was at a critical condition with severe diabetes, neuropathy, hypertension, hyperthermia, frequent shock and caused by it, and a complication with cerebral infarction and dorsal abscess.
The researchers of the section adopted scientific treatment measures at the emergency consultation.
Then they buckled down to the treatment to stabilize blood pressure and remove abscess.
Section chief Kim Jae Ryon and researcher Kim Song Hui administered necessary medicines and took appropriate measures for ever-changing symptoms while remaining by the patient until all vital signs became normal.
Nurse Ri Myong Sim also worked heart and soul to improve the nutritional status of the patient as she gradually recovered.
Thanks to their devoted efforts, her conditions improved day by day and she left the hospital in good health 40-odd days after her admission into the hospital.
“The kindred affection and sincerity shown by the researchers and nurses of the metabolism research section for my mother were etched in my heart, though they were not recorded in her medical chart,” said her son Ju In Hyok.
There are other stories telling their sincerity.
This year alone, they resuscitated or improved dozens of critically ill patients.
