The Cooking IT Company under the Korean Association of Cooks has recently produced a series of multimedia to develop the country’s food culture.
The centre has built a database of traditional dishes including their variety, number, nutritive value, cooking methods and statistical information of raw materials and made efforts to add a collection of data on famous foreign dishes to it.
What is important in raising the specialized level of cooking is to know its scientific method but it is indispensable to try such methods repeatedly and that’s why the multimedia helps to attain that end earlier, said section chief Pak Kum Chol of the centre.
In the past the centre has produced hundreds of multimedia of traditional and foreign dishes categorized according to their ingredients and purposes including app Cooking Manual for Family Use 2.0 which serves as a good guide to chefs and housewives.
This year it strives with a purposeful approach to make and disseminate multimedia which can help chefs raise their technical skills and develop new kinds of dishes.
Besides, it is paying close attention to producing and disseminating multimedia to improve the people’s dietary life and develop the country’s food culture at such events as national cooking festival and contest and traditional food show.
