A meeting took place at theWeightlifting Gymnasium on Chongchun Street in Pyongyang on August 5 to conferstate commendations on coaches and technical officials who contributed towinning victory at the 2024 FIFA U-20 and U-17 women’s World Cups.
Present there were Kim TokHun, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea,officials of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, players and coaches.
Kim Tok Hun conveyed a decreeof the Standing Committee of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly．
Kim Jong Il Prize was awarded to Ri KumSuk, coach of the Women’s Football Department of the April 25 Sports Team.
The title of People’s Athletewas conferred on Ri Song Ho, coach of the Wolmido Football Team, Song SungGwon, head coach of the Naegohyang Women’s Football Team, Kim Chol Nam, coachof the Women’s Football Department of the April 25 Sports Team, Ho Sun Hui,football coach of the Amnokgang Sports Club, and Ri Hyang Ok and Ra Mi Ae,officials of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, and the title ofMerited Athlete went to Rim Kun Uk, football coach of the Ministry of LightIndustry Sports Club, and Sok Hun, coach of the Men’s Football Department ofthe Sobaeksu Sports Team.
The sportspeople who receivedthe state’s commendations were full of burning enthusiasm to dedicate theirwisdom and zeal to demonstrating the prestige of the DPRK to the world ininternational games, always keeping in mind the great love and trust shown bythe respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
