The 2025 National Schoolchildren's Games closed.
The games started inJanuary and were held in five rounds. The event was an important occasion forencouraging schoolchildren to possess over one sports technique by promotingphysical education at schools.
Members of specializedsports groups at school in Pyongyang Municipality and South Hamgyong and NorthPhyongan provinces proved successful by demonstrating sports techniques, senseof organization and team spirit they had honed every day to fulfil their dream ofbecoming sportspersons who will bring honour to the country with gold medals.
Present at theclosing ceremony held at the Hamhung Youth Open-air Theatre on August 10 wereofficials of the youth league, instructors of the specialized sports groups andschoolchildren.
The total standings ofprovinces were announced and citations and trophies were awarded to the winningteams and the most valuable player awards conferred on members of school sportsgroups who set outstanding examples in the games.
Mun Chol, chairmanof the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made aclosing address.
He emphasized the needfor all instructors and group members to improve the scientific education in basicsports techniques to a higher level on the basis of successes achieved andexperience gained in this event and get themselves ready as excellent reserveplayers by learning and training harder.
