Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Personages of political parties of Italy and Romania issued a statement and an article on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Roberto Gabriele, general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, released a statement "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea which has recorded only victory and glory" in the magazine La Voce.
He said that the founding of the DPRK by the great Comrade Kim Il Sung on September 9, 1948 was a historic event that declared the birth of an independent state centered on the masses of the people for the first time in the world.
Under the wise leadership of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il , the Republic turned into a power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, frustrating the hostile forces' persistent sanctions and stifling moves for decades since its foundation and has won victory after victory along the road chosen by itself, he noted.
Today the DPRK is fully demonstrating to the world its might as a dignified independent power and invincible socialist fortress under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , he said.
Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania, posted on its website an article dealing with the birth of the first people's democratic state in the East in accordance with President Kim Il Sung 's original idea and line on state building, and with the fact that the DPRK defended its independent dignity and the people's destiny and laid a firm foundation for its powerful defence capability and self-supporting economy in the historic course of the grim Fatherland Liberation War, postwar reconstruction and socialist construction.
The DPRK people's struggle showed the whole world that if a small country builds up its strength and overcomes the trials and difficulties encountered, it will surely emerge victorious, the author said, adding that the precious exploits of President Kim Il Sung in the founding and development of the DPRK will be kept deep in the hearts of not only the DPRK people but also the world progressives. -0-
