The Kumsong Tractor Factory boosts the production of high-performance farm machines conducive to comprehensively mechanizing the rural economy.
In February it successfully carried out its second-stage renovation project, bringing the all the production lines ranging from the production and supply of workpieces and the processing and assembly of parts in the mode of flowing arrangement and establishing a flexible manufacturing system. It also built a new precision machining zone, plastic workshop and painting workshop equipped with latest equipment, and remodelled the experimental product workshop and repair workshop, thus laying a solid foundation for ensuring smooth production and improving the quality of products.
In line with this, the factory strives to lower the norms for the consumption of materials per unit in the manufacture of tractors and other farm machines while trying to tailor the production lines in order to produce more and better high-performance farm machines for rural areas.
It is also developing farm machines including hillside tractors that suit the specific conditions of the country where sloping crop fields occupy a large proportion of arable land.
