Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a congratulatory message from Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic of Cuba, on September 9. The Cuban president in the message extended fraternal congratulations on behalf of the Cuban party and government and its people to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK. He expressed his steadfast will to steadily strengthen historic invincible ties of fraternity, cooperation and solidarity between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and Supreme Commander Fidel Castro Ruz. He reaffirmed that he is attaching great importance to the relations with the DPRK based on mutual respect and support, interests of the peoples of the two countries and indomitable struggle against imperialism.
