The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China strongly rejected U.S. assertion on detecting a drug trafficking group that was transporting large amount of precursor chemicals from China to Mexico.
Saying that the root causes of drug abuse in the U.S. lie in the country itself and the key to solving the problem is also in its hands, he clarified that the U.S. should face up to its problems and take more real actions to enhance domestic regulation and reduce domestic demands. He warned that the U.S. should not deflect blame on, scapegoat or abuse sanctions on other countries.
He highlighted that China will take necessary measures to defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and citizens.
