There are many political parties in the world. Each and every one of them has different political ideas and programs, but almost every party advocates politics for its people.

However, it would be difficult to find such a great party as the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) which commands the absolute trust of the people. Our Party has led the state and the people to victory for as long as 80 years throughout the gigantic struggles and revolutionary practices, regarding it as the nature and mission of the Party to faithfully safeguard the rights and interests of the people.

President Kim Il Sung , the founder of the glorious WPK, wisely led the Party to start its historic journey as a party fighting for the people and a popular party which is deep-rooted in the heart of the popular masses since the very start of its foundation.

Thanks to the outstanding and seasoned leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il , our Party has developed into a genuine party for people which takes full responsibility and care of the people’s destiny.

On October 3, 1990, Chairman Kim Jong Il published an immortal classic work titled “The Workers’ Party of Korea Organizes and Guides All the Victories of Our People” . The work provided precious and far-reaching guidelines for our Party to maintain its own revolutionary character and lead the cause of independence and socialism of the popular masses along the ever-victorious road. This is an undying exploit noteworthy in the history of the development of the Party.

Holding in high esteem respected Comrade Kim Jong Un born with ardent love for the people as the great leader, our Party has been further strengthened into Motherly Party which regards unreserved service for the people as its invariable mode of existence and as its revolutionary climate and strives for the welfare of the people.

Our Party, which regards it as its supreme desire to provide all the people with the best things in the world, puts forward the lines and policies reflecting the humble opinions of the people and makes devoted effort to relieve them of any sufferings.

Thanks to such warm care of our Party, the happy laughter of the people and their hurrah for the WPK resound far and wide all over the country – this is the reality of our state.

The ordinary working people are leading a dignified life as the masters of the country and the era of great change has been ushered in to create new civilization and new life, and to improve the people’s living standards. Witnessing such a remarkable reality of the motherland, the whole Korean people are renewing their resolve to make loyal devotion and perform feats in the general advance towards the great festival in October.

Our Party has been writing an ever-victorious history, firmly adhering to its fundamental ideas and revolutionary nature of working for the people in the face of every trial of history. Thanks to the great leadership of our Party, our state will, in the future, too, become ever more prosperous as the socialist paradise for the people where all desires and dreams of the working masses come true.
