The groundbreaking ceremony of Fifth-stage construction project in Hwasong Area, the area symbolic of Korean-style civilization, was held in grand style demonstrating the spirit of continued revolution and determined advance peculiar to the Workers’ Party of Korea. With this groundbreaking ceremony, our people’s enthusiasm was renewed and they are ready to write a new chapter of miracles, creation and change.

In this daily-changing era of comprehensive national prosperity, the Kim Jong Un era vibrant with a new Pyongyang speed and Hwasong myth, nearly 60, 000 modern flats and public buildings were built in the areas of Songsin- Songhwa and Hwasong, to form new majestic and beautiful streets, and thus a whole new administrative district came into being and the capital city of Pyongyang was given a new look befitting the capital city of socialist Korea.

The long-cherished desire of our Party has been crystallized in the form of grand construction project of the capital city, now marked with annual groundbreakings and infallible, annual inaugurations for the past 5 years. Such efflorescence of our architecture guided by the people-first principle is the fruition of the grand vision and sagacious leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who regards it as an honourable revolutionary undertaking to transform Pyongyang into a world-class city where all dreams of our people will come true, and guided the construction to this end, starting from meaningful groundbreakings to grand inaugurations.

Witnessing first-hand the exciting reality of the motherland adorned with remarkable transformations, our people are being inspired to give a more impressive facelift to the capital city in the near future by dint of an indomitable pioneering spirit, new creation and fortitude in the new long-term plan period, true to the great action program and prospect set at the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

It is our people’s steadfast will and determination to build a prospering socialist paradise in the near future by dint of their dignity and following the grand blueprint provided by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
