Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Has Talks with President of Laos

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), had talks on October 7 with Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR), on a congratulatory visit to the DPRK on the occasion of the 80 th anniversary of the founding of the WPK.
Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly welcomed the visit of Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith to Pyongyang and said that his visit is an expression of the full support and encouragement of the Lao Party, government and people for the cause of our Party and people.
He said that our Party, government and people wished the Lao Party and people greater successes in their struggle.
Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith conveyed the best wishes and comradely greetings of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, government and people to the WPK, the DPRK government and people significantly greeting the 80 th anniversary of the founding of the WPK. He said that Laos is always a close friend of the fraternal Korean people and it is the consistent stand of the state leadership of Laos to continue to develop the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries.
The talks introduced the experience gained by the two Parties and the two countries in building the Party and the state and discussed issues arising in boosting mutual cooperation between the DPRK and the LPDR.
The talks expressed expectation and conviction that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries would grow stronger in conformity with the aspiration and desire of the two peoples.
The talks proceeded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
In the evening, Comrade Kim Jong Un hosted a reception to welcome Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith's visit to Pyongyang.
Comrade Kim Jong Un and Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith made speeches at the reception.
Comrade Kim Jong Un wished Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith good health and great success in his important activities for leading the Party and the state, and exchanged farewells.
