Songs our people sing in praise of our guiding Party, which has glorified the 80 years of victory and glory with the sacred Party’s original ideals and spirit, are reverberating through the whole country. The Grand Mass Gymnastics and Artistic Performance “Long Live the Workers’ Party of Korea” for celebrating the 80 th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea was given with splendor at the May Day Stadium on Thursday evening.

The venue of the performance on Rungna Islet, which will beautifully and colorfully celebrate the founding anniversary of the great motherly Party, was filled with joy and excitement of citizens of Pyongyang, youth and students and service personnel.

Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, enjoyed the performance.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un appeared in the auditorium with heads of parties and governments of different countries, enthusiastic cheers shook the night sky of the capital city.

Among the audience were leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, participants in the celebrations of the 80 th founding anniversary of the WPK, members of overseas compatriots’ congratulatory groups and delegations and overseas compatriots.

Present there on invitation were members of the party and government delegations of different countries, delegations of international democratic organizations and organizations for the study of the Juche idea, diplomatic envoys here, families of overseas Koreans related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and foreign guests.

The grand mass gymnastics and artistic performance started solemnly. The emblem of the 80 th founding anniversary of the WPK was shining brilliantly, representing the absolute dignity and prestige of the WPK which has recorded the longest ruling history of socialism under the banner of the great Juche idea, and the fierce torch was flaring up, like the flame started with the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union, the root of our Party.

The performance depicted in a grand epic style the great history of the genuine people’s Party, the ever-victorious WPK, which has covered the sacred long road of the people-first principle without a moment’s veering, weathering the storm of the grim revolution, since the day of 80 years ago when the Party took the responsibility of the destiny of the people under the uplifted red flag fluttered in Mt Paektu and set the realization of all the ideals of the people as its original ideal.

To the tune of songs of struggle and advance resounded in every period of the revolution, the performers presented vigorous gymnastics and elegant dance movements in high praise of the immortal exploits of our Party, which has led the socialist cause of Juche to steady success and victories by regarding the people as the root of its existence and arousing the inexhaustible spiritual strength of the masses.

Songs praising the great era of Kim Jong Un which has witnessed unprecedentedly great victories and changes since the founding of the Party and the nation revved up the atmosphere of the performance.

The audience was deeply moved by the scenes of the grand mass gymnastics reflecting miracles being created day by day by racing against time in the new heyday of strengthening the whole Party when the leadership ability of the WPK is given fullest play and in a new era of self-respect and prosperity when the might of self-reliance and single-minded unity, the tradition and lifeline of the revolution, brings about the comprehensive prosperity of the state.

The audience was overcome with boundless emotion and joy, mesmerized by the bright and happy images of the new generations growing up stoutly, bringing all dreams and hopes into full bloom, under the warm care of the fatherly Marshal who gives precedence to the training of the younger generation above all state affairs and cultivates the rosy future of the country with his great love and devotion.

Children presented bouquets of best wishes to Marshal Kim Jong Un , reflecting the unbounded gratitude of the children and students across the country.

Kim Jong Un sent warm blessings to all the performers singing in chorus the song “We Are the Happiest in the World” with joy and happiness.

The audience was greatly delighted to see dance movements and stunts reflecting the excellent traditional culture, customs and martial traits of the Korean people, which the performers presented to the tune of folk songs “Moran Hill” and “My Prospering Country”.

A powerful ceremony of the combined military band made the audience feel boundless patriotic enthusiasm to more firmly defend and eternally and wholeheartedly uphold our greatest socialist country in the world where the independent dignity of the people and their genuine lives are guaranteed.

The performers vividly depicted with background images, gymnastic movements and dances the militant spirit of the powerful Juche-oriented revolutionary army which has been developed and strengthened under great care of the peerlessly great men, the world’s strongest Korean People’s Army holding the peerlessly illustrious commander in high esteem. They showed that the only powerful strength is the firm guarantee for defending justice and peace and that the DPRK will further bolster up the matchless war deterrent for the country and the people and for peace and prosperity of all generations to come.

The performance reached its climax with torchlight gymnastics and song “We Are Koreans” reflecting the firm faith and revolutionary will of the DPRK people to accomplish the great cause of building a rich country with a strong army without fail with the wisdom and courage of Koreans, staking the honor of their times and generation, and dynamically advance towards a rosy future of socialism and communism.

Through the performance, the audience more keenly realized the immutable truth proven by history that the Party is great and the state and its people are strong as they are led by the outstanding leader and the truth of the revolution that only glory is always in store for the people taking the road of following the WPK even though any storm blows on this land.

The performance, which fully demonstrated the strong desire and enthusiasm of all the people across the country to glorify the powerful socialist country forever, flying high the sacred red flag of the Party as the ever-victorious banner, true to the leadership of Kim Jong Un , the great dignity and absolute strength of the Party and the state, ended with the finale “Our National Flag” amid the display of fireworks.

The grand mass gymnastics with the strong sense of organization, discipline and oneness and the artistic performance which presented a world of impressive and fascinating art with the full combination of beautiful and elegant dances, vocal and instrumental music, acrobatics and stunts, ever-changing lighting and back-ground stand were acclaimed by the audience.

When the performance was over, stormy cheers of “Hurrah!” were raised.

Expressing satisfaction over the successful performance showing the sacred 80-year-long history of the WPK and the validity and invincibility of the cause of the Party as a great epical picture, Kim Jong Un extended warm congratulations to all the performers.
