Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Receives Message of Greeting from Lao President

Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on October 7.
The message said:
Dear Comrade Kim Jong Un ,
I, on behalf of the Lao party, government and people, extend warm congratulations and wishes to you, Comrade, the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, all its members and the fraternal Korean people on the occasion of the 80 th founding anniversary of the WPK (October 10, 1945-October 10, 2025).
We are proud and pleased that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the fraternal Korean people have achieved comprehensive and great successes in firmly defending the gains of the revolution, safeguarding political stability, strengthening national defence and security work, steadily developing the economy and improving the people’s standard of living step by step and, at the same time, enhancing the role and influence of your country in the regional and international arenas under the bold and powerful leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
We are firmly convinced that the Korean people will achieve greater fresh successes in carrying out the cause for defending the state and steadily developing it under the wise leadership of the WPK headed by Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un , successor to the great Juche idea.
I hope that the long-standing traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties, two states and two peoples of Laos and the DPRK provided by the respected President Kim Il Sung and President Kaysone Phomvihane will continue to grow stronger by the leadership and peoples of the two countries, thus bringing benefits to the peoples of the two countries and contributing to peace, stability and the development of cooperative relations in the region and the rest of the world.
Taking this auspicious opportunity, I wish you, Comrade Kim Jong Un , good health and happiness and success in carrying out the noble cause.
