Russian Artistes Give Art Performance to Celebrate WPK’s Founding Anniversary

An art performance was given at the Mansudae Art Theatre on the afternoon of October 9 by the Russian art missions on a visit to Pyongyang with the best wishes and feelings of friendship of the Russian Federation significantly celebrating the 80 th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, a sacred and glorious holiday of the WPK and the DPRK people, as a common auspicious event and a common holiday.
Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, enjoyed the performance.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the performance would make a tangible contribution to further boosting the ever-deepening friendliness and fraternal relations between the two countries.
Among the audience were Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the DPRK, Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, artistes and creators of art troupes at all levels, teaching staff of art education institutions and Pyongyangites.
Members of the Russian embassy here also enjoyed the performance.
The performance was given by Russian popular singers, and artistes of the Russian State Academic People’s Chorus Named after M. E. Pyatnichki, the “Todec” Ballet Theater Named after Alla Duhoba and the Air and Space Forces Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un was conveyed to the performers.
Kim Jong Un mounted the stage and expressed thanks to the Russian artistes for their successful performance.
